PFLAG: Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) is a large national organization with many local chapters. PFLAG provides support for LGBTQ people and their families. Local chapters’ information can be found on their website. www.pflag.org 

Pacific Center for Human Growth offers youth social and education activities plus peer groups and youth programs (13-23 years). Drop- in social activities, support, art, activism, education, food, friends, movies, video games, writing and fun. Family Acceptance Project is a community research, intervention, and education initiative to study the impact of family acceptance and rejection on the health, mental health and well-being of lesbian, gay and bisexual and transgender youth. Results will be used to help families provide support for LGBT youth, to develop appropriate interventions, programs and policies, and to train providers to improve the quality of services and care they receive. Gender Spectrum provides education, training, and support to create a gender sensitive and inclusive environment for all children and teens. In a simple, straightforward manner, Gender Spectrum provides consultation, training and events designed to help families, educators, professionals, and organizations understand and address the concepts based on research and expression. Their accessible, practical approach is based on research and experience, enabling clients to gain a deeper understanding on gender all along the spectrum. Advocates for Youth champions efforts that help young people make informed and responsible decisions about their reproductive and sexual health. Advocates believe it can best serve the field by boldly advocating for a more positive and realistic approach to adolescent sexual health. National Center for Lesbian Rights is a national legal organization committed to advancing the civil and human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their families through litigation, public policy advocacy, and public education. Transgender Law Center works to change law, policy, and attitudes so that all people can live safely, authentically, and free from discrimination regardless of their gender identity or expression.
